I spent a few years working with Ray William Johnson at Equals Three and got to make some really fun opening title sequences for his YouTube shows. For this show, I wanted to create a 3D environment of a series of buildings, like you are traveling down a road. The wall tags and spray painted images would be all the cast and crew and it would evolve and adjust over time as new people worked on the show and others left. Building a 3D environment like this one is pretty taxing on After Effects (built entirely inside that program) so the renders took a very long time. And I'd spot an error or a seam in a building and have to fix and start the half-day render all over again.
I learned a lot from this project and after a few years, am still very proud of this (which is rare). I hope you enjoy it!
