
Usually, when a client contacts me for a logo design, I'm starting from scratch with maybe a rough concept or an idea. That comes with its own challenges but this logo already existed! The client was looking to keep the same concept but improve the visuals and add text (the original logo was just a graphic). This was a unique challenge and one of the reasons I took on the project. I wanted to see if I could do a better job than the other designer (I'm very competitive).
I broke the logo down into project elements, reviewing each milestone with the client until we landed on a good font and a series of graphics that better represented the look and feel the client wanted for his production company. Here's a comparison:

As you can see, the concept remained but I wanted the graphic elements to feel like one image, a snapshot from a film. I think the end result turned out pretty cool!
