This logo was a fun exploration into the use of light and shadow, with several concepts being created and presented and this one winning out. The texture of the type has a candle-like presence and the falloff from the flame emphasizes the word "Dark" pretty well, while still being quite legible. This logo really shines (pun intended) when you see the animated version, with the flickering candlelight dancing about the logo.
The sound design was created by my good friend, Hayden Blades and this was the first project we had worked on together since our time at SyntheticHuman Pictures in 2010.
