Poster design for a Synthetic Human film. This is a special project to me. The writer, David Matteson, asked me to direct his script and that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me. I think, to this day, it's the only story I've directed that I hadn't written.
This was a tough poster to come up with a concept for. That is, until I dug around the behind the scenes photos and spotted a pic of the lead actress exiting the front door and that image stuck in my head. It became a silhouette early in the design process. It's simple, just a shot of someone leaving, but I think it sets up the short film well. Some relationships are toxic and the only thing you can do is walk away. Just make sure to close the door on the way out!
